Attic Motion Rental & Service Agreement
By booking an Attic Motion package, you ("Client") agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Our Services
Attic Motion provides vintage camcorder rental packages and professional editing services designed to capture your wedding through the eyes of your family and friends.
Your package includes only the items listed on your invoice or booking confirmation.
2. Rental Period
Your equipment will typically arrive 3–5 days before your wedding date.
The rental period ends 72 hours after your wedding. All equipment must be dropped off using the prepaid return shipping label before the carrier's final pickup on the return date unless otherwise agreed upon.
3. Equipment Care
The equipment remains the property of Attic Motion at all times.
The Client agrees to:
Handle all equipment with reasonable care.
Keep equipment protected from water, excessive heat, and theft.
Return every item included in the package.
Follow the setup and operating instructions provided.
The Client is responsible for equipment that is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear while in their possession. Regular mechanical damage that is not due to improper use is not the renter’s fault.
4. Equipment Issues
If any equipment arrives damaged or is not functioning properly, the Client must notify Attic Motion as soon as possible.
The Client agrees not to attempt repairs or modifications.
If equipment failure is determined to be the result of a mechanical defect and not misuse, Attic Motion will make reasonable efforts to provide replacement equipment or another appropriate solution.
5. Vintage Equipment
Our camcorders are genuine vintage devices selected for their nostalgic look and feel.
Because of the nature of vintage technology, occasional tape imperfections, dropouts, grain, focus inconsistencies, or audio artifacts may occur. These characteristics are considered part of the authentic vintage aesthetic and are not considered defects.
6. Editing Services
Attic Motion will professionally digitize and edit the footage into the package selected during booking.
Estimated delivery is approximately 6–10 weeks following receipt of all returned equipment, although many projects may be completed sooner.
Editing style will remain consistent with the Attic Motion portfolio. Clients acknowledge that every film is unique and that creative editing decisions remain at the discretion of Attic Motion.
7. The Attic Motion Experience
Our films are intentionally different from traditional wedding videography.
The cameras are placed in the hands of the people who know you best—your family and friends. Because of this, recordings may include imperfect framing, missed moments, unexpected camera movement, or spontaneous interactions. These qualities are part of the authentic storytelling experience and are not considered service defects.
8. Cancellations
Payments made to reserve your wedding date are non-refundable, as Attic Motion reserves equipment and editing time specifically for your event.
If your wedding date changes, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your new date based on availability.
9. Marketing Permission
Unless otherwise requested in writing, the Client grants Attic Motion permission to use portions of edited films, photographs of the equipment, testimonials, and submitted footage for portfolio, website, advertising, and social media purposes.
No private or sensitive footage will intentionally be used without discretion.
10. Limitation of Liability
Attic Motion is not responsible for circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including shipping delays, severe weather, natural disasters, or carrier issues.
Attic Motion's maximum liability under this agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client.
11. Final Delivery
Following delivery of the edited films, Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files. Attic Motion recommends maintaining multiple backups.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.
